In this 45 minute online seminar at 17:30 on the 27th of November she will guide you through the options open to expats in the Helsinki region and help you to make an informed decision about the best direction for your child’s educational journey in Finland, from Years 1 to 12. She will talk you through all the relevant points to consider when enrolling your child into different schools in the Helsinki region and beyond, including:

  • foreign language options which are not English, such as Chinese, German, French, Spanish and Russian
  • what are the problems with the English language system (bottleneck issues for Year 10).
  • why there is no non-IB option for those studying at at an Upper Secondary School/ Lukio in English in Finland
  • what is the IB (International Baccelaureate)
  • the important dates to keep in mind if your child is being enrolled in the first year of school, moving to a new school for Year 3 (such as a bilingual or selective school), enrolling in Year 7 (middle school/lower secondary) or enrolling in a Upper Secondary School/ Lukio for Year 10
