My Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic approach is modern, evidence based, and focused on meaningful results. I tailor treatment to each individual using methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, self compassion, and motivational interviewing.
Therapy with me is collaborative. We work together to help you understand your patterns, reduce distress, and create sustainable change. My goal is to provide a supportive, structured, and empowering process where you can develop tools that genuinely improve your wellbeing.
Therapy with me is practical and future-focused. While we may reflect on the past, the main emphasis is on building skills and solutions that help you move forward.
Why Work With Me?
Experienced & Trusted
I have worked with adults and teens in Finland across private practice, psychiatric care, occupational health, and school settings. These varied environments allow me to quickly understand complex situations and offer effective support.
Licensed in Finland, with an international perspective
Having lived in Finland since 2010 and trained professionally here, I understand Finnish society and the healthcare system. At the same time, my international background helps clients who may not fully identify with Finnish culture. This combination is especially valuable for expats and international professionals.
Evidence based and personalized
I use evidence-based methods like CBT, ACT, schema therapy, DBT, mindfulness, and self compassion, choosing tools that best match your needs and goals.
Goal oriented and convenient
I regularly track progress so that therapy remains purposeful and effective. I offer online therapy sessions, supported by digital tools that help you stay engaged between meetings.
Culturally competent and inclusive
I have a strong focus on expats, immigrants, the Swedish speaking minority, neurodiverse clients, and the LGBTQ+ community. All identities and backgrounds are welcome and supported. Therapy available in English and Swedish.
