Magdalena Caputa (she/her) is a master’s student in Clinical Psychology at Leiden University in the Netherlands, originally from Poland. Her academic training has primarily focused on the cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) approach, providing her with a strong foundation in evidence-based psychological care.

She has completed coursework in stress and health psychology as well as work and organizational psychology, giving her a broad perspective on mental health across different life contexts. Magdalena also holds a bachelor’s degree in early education, which has strengthened her understanding of the importance of childhood development.

Her thesis research focused on the relationship between premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms, sleep, and quality of life, reflecting her academic focus on the connection between physical well-being and psychological functioning. In addition to this, she has a strong interest in addiction psychology and is motivated to continue broadening her knowledge of different therapeutic approaches.

Having lived in both the United States and the Netherlands, she brings a strong sensitivity to cultural differences and is especially aware of the challenges that expats may face when adjusting to a new environment. In her work, Magdalena strives to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to work on their goals.

Outside of her studies, she enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
