Dr Jane Tuomola has a passion for offering clinical supervision to healthcare professionals. She loves helping others on their learning journeys, and finds contributing to the development of others’ confidence and skills very rewarding.
Clinical supervision is a vital part of any healthcare professional’s practice. It is a place to discuss and reflect on your clients, so that you can offer the highest quality evidence-based therapy. As a trainee, supervision is the key place to learn how to make theory–practice links. Knowing how to apply the knowledge gained from lectures to the real world clients is vital. Being able to share both what you do well, as well as what you need to improve on, are key aspects of a professional’s learning. However, such learning can only take place within a safe and trusting relationship.
Jane has over 11 years’ experience of being a supervisor. She supervised trainee clinical psychologists from the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, the National University of Singapore and James Cook University Singapore. She has also supervised qualified clinical psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and case managers. She can offer supervision in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, and can work with both individuals and groups.
Please contact Jane to discuss your supervision needs further or to ask any questions that you may have.
